ABOUT THE ARTIST

Susan Pierce is a product of a long line of artists: her mother, a painter and her father, a photographer. She is based in Seal Beach, California, where you can find her in her studio when she’s not traveling the world.

For 30+ years she has been transforming spaces and their fixtures from “Stark to Stunning”. While her love for the ladder continues, her focus has shifted to particularly considered, fine pieces. 

Following an esteemed career in commercial, wall, and object art, Susan’s work now consists of alcohol inks and line work.  Her influences and inspiration span from flowers to abstract to Picasso. As we were relegated to our homes, Susan committed to create one painting or drawing every day. This is her Isolation Diary.

Her Atmo-sphere collection consists of embellished and adorned orbs, creating exquisite decor pieces with curio: vintage jewelry, and ornament. These pieces take well over 100 hours of sourcing, placing, and attaching the accouterment to their surfaces. Each ball is one of a kind. 

 

Susan also works in collage, featuring imagery of flowers, animals, architecture, and, anatomy, the sky’s the limit.

These practices are her meditation, and she is thrilled to share them with you.
